Voices of the Underground – An Odyssey Across Earth and Sound brings together a series of interviews conducted by Lorenzo Béatrix with artists, musicians, and thinkers whose practices explore the intersection of sound, landscape, and time. Spanning disciplines and generations, the book offers a non-linear investigation into the cultural, ecological, and philosophical dimensions of what is often broadly referred to as Land Art or ambient music.

Featuring contributions from Suzanne Ciani, Steve Roach, Michelle Stuart, La Monte Young & Jung Hee Choi, David Toop, among many others, the publication charts a network of practitioners whose work resonates with a shared interest in deep listening, material processes, and the poetics of entropy.

Rather than proposing a singular narrative, Voices of the Underground unfolds as a fragmented and associative journey—one that resists fixed categories and instead embraces a rhizomatic structure, drawing on concepts from philosophy, art history, and sound studies.
